Morgan Wallen releases new song “Lies Lies Lies”

Morgan Wallace has released a new song, “Lies Lies Lies,” via Big Loud/Mercury/Republic. Recorded at Abbey Road’s Studio Two during a 2023 session, shortly after his sold-out show at the O2 Arena, he debuted a live version of the song on March 3 as part of his Abbey Road Sessions series. The song was written by Jessie Jo Dillon, Josh Miller, Daniel Ross and Chris Tompkins. Joey Moi produced.

Since its soft launch release on March 3, “Lies Lies Lies” has been a highly anticipated part of his setlist for the One Night At A Time tour. The tour supports his third studio album One after the othera 5x platinum record that topped Billboard’s Country Albums chart for a full year (53 weeks). The album was nominated for Album of the Year at the 2024 ACM Awards, where Wallen received a total of six nominations, including Entertainer of the Year and Artist-Songwriter of the Year.

“Lies Lies Lies” arrives just one day after Wallen performed his first-ever headlining performance at BST Hyde Park in London on July 4. Another of his recent tracks, “I Had Some Help” featuring Post Malone, just spent its sixth week atop the Billboard Hot 100, making the song the longest-running No. 1 hit of the year. “I Had Some Help” is also the fastest-rising No. 1 hit on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart since Garth Brooks’ 2007 classic “More Than A Memory.” Massive charting and streaming numbers have been a hallmark of Wallen’s career across multiple album cycles—his second album is coming in 2021 Dangerous: The double albumachieved the most successful streaming debut of all time for a country album.
