Amanda Kloots pays touching tribute to Nick Cordero on the fourth anniversary of his death: Watch video

“Missing Nick Cordero today,” she wrote on Instagram.

Amanda Kloots remembers her late husband Nick Cordero, four years after his death.

On Friday, the author, fitness coach and television personality shared a moving tribute on Instagram to Cordero, who died of COVID-19 on July 5, 2020.

“Missing Nick Cordero today,” Kloots wrote in the caption of the post, which included a video montage of clips and old photos set to The Police’s song “Every Breath You Take.” “Whenever I put together a post like this, it really makes me realize how much loss hits you in a way you may never recover from. However, looking at all the pictures, as hard as it is, allows me to relive all of our stories.”

“Nick was so funny, happy, full of life and love, so talented and one of the biggest dreamers I knew,” she continued. “Take the photos and capture life. Keep them, they got me through this time.”

She then encouraged her followers to celebrate Cordero’s legacy by sharing memories of him and shared what she has learned about grief over the past four years.

“Grief has changed every part of me,” Kloots wrote. “I have become a new person in every way. It has changed how I love, how I look, how I feel, how I walk, how I think, how I raise my son, how I work.”

“It’s taught me a lot about anxiety, depression, fear and stress,” she continued. “It’s made me weaker and stronger at the same time, and it’s made me more honest, vulnerable and fearless in my life. I’ve learned how lucky I am to have someone in my life who loves me completely and that I love them. That’s rare, I’ve learned that too.”

She concluded her post by saying, “Grief was by far the worst thing that has ever happened to me, and yet also the most awakening. In the spirit of my late husband – he said it best – it taught me to LIVE. To live my life. I miss you every day. I will love you forever.”

Kloots and Cordero married in 2017 and had their son Elvis in June 2019.

Since his death, Kloots has honored Cordero in many ways and shared memories of him on social media.
