Chris Hemsworth admits he got “tired” of playing Thor “every few years”

The actor said that if he were to take on the role again, “we would have to do something very drastic to keep people on their toes”

Chris Hemsworth appreciates being able to experiment with his character Thor and create variety.

The actor played the Marvel character for the first time in 2011 Thorand repeated the role in three standalone sequels and several avenger Movies.

In an interview with British GQHemsworth, 39, admitted that playing the character made him “sick” at times.

“I love this experience. I love the fact that I was able to do something completely different throughout the whole process,” he said.Thor 1 and 2 were their own thing, Thor 3 and 4 were a completely different feeling … and then even avengerthe Lebowski Thor, the Infinity War Thor, because of the different directors and I think mostly because of my own need to do something different.”

“You know, I got tired of the character pretty quickly every few years,” he added with a laugh.

Regarding his future return to the role, Hemsworth said that Thor would need another “tonal” overhaul.

“If I were to do something again, it would have to have a different tone. And we would have to do something very drastic to keep people on their toes,” he said. “Otherwise, it’s just the fatigue of these characters and these movies that makes people say, ‘I’ve seen it.'”

“But,” he added later, “I really want to do something else for a while.”

Hemsworth said his own children gave honest reviews of his latest Marvel film. Thor: Love and ThunderHe has three children with his wife Elsa Pataky: 11-year-old daughter India and twin sons Sasha and Tristan, 9.

“It’s a group of eight-year-olds criticizing my film. ‘We thought this one had too much humor, the action was cool, but the visual effects weren’t that good.’ I cringe and laugh at that in equal measure,” he said.

He added: Love and thunder, “I think we were just having too much fun. It just got too silly. It’s always hard to be in the thick of it and have a real perspective. … I love the process, it’s always a ride. But you just don’t know how people are going to react.”

The actor who Extraction 2 on Netflix on June 16th and in the expected Mad Max: Fury Road prehistory Furious — repeated his Thor feelings towards Vanity Fair in November.

He said he was “completely open” to taking on the role of the superhero again “if there is something unique, fresh and unexpected to do with the character and the world.”

“I’ve always loved this experience,” Hemsworth said at the time. “I’m very grateful that I’ve been able to do something different each time.”

Hemsworth also said Vanity Fair that “we’d probably have to finish Thor if I ever did it again.”

“I think that’s probably justified,” he said. “I think it would probably be the finale, but that’s not based on anything anyone’s told me or any plans.”

“There’s the birth of a hero, the journey of a hero, then the death of a hero, and I don’t know – am I at that point? Who knows?” he added.
