Travis Kelce wanted the crowd to go crazy Taylor Swift after her second Epoch Tour Show in Amsterdam.

Though he kept a low profile during the concert on Friday, July 5, Kelce, 34, appeared backstage at Swift’s side after she sang her final song at the Johan Cruyff Arena. As the two held hands and waved to fans, Kelce could be seen moving his arms, urging everyone to scream louder for Swift, 34, who laughed in response. Before they walked out of sight, Kelce put his arm around Swift and kissed the top of her head.

This isn’t the first time Kelce has asked Swifties to show his girlfriend the love she deserves. The NFL star appeared at her June 30 show in Dublin, Ireland, showing up at the VIP tent and seemingly surprising her mid-concert. After the show, he met her backstage to clap for her along with other Swifties, even stopping completely and reaching out his hands to Swift to admiringly introduce her to the crowd. Swift, meanwhile, paused to playfully roll her eyes and laugh before grabbing Kelce’s hand.

Kelce has found plenty of ways to have fun this summer as Swift continues the European leg of her tour. During her June 23 show in London, the Kansas City Chiefs player went from the tent to the stage, making his Eras Tour debut. During Swift’s “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” interlude, Kelce appeared in a suit and top hat while he carried Swift and dressed her for her next song.

Earlier this month, a source told exclusively We weekly that the “performance was planned” and that the couple wanted to have a “special moment to mark the milestone in their relationship.” (The couple began dating in July last year after Kelce admitted he tried – and failed – to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it at her concert.)

“Travis’ schedule is about to get crazy again,” the insider explained, referring to Kelce’s upcoming football season. “He wanted to do something cool while he was there (and) create something memorable for the fans.”

Travis, for his part, explained how the performance came about while chatting with his brother Jason Kelce during the July 3 episode of her podcast “New Heights.” He said that his appearance on stage with Swift was initially a joke, but very quickly became very serious.

“I initially mentioned to Tay that I thought, ‘How fun would it be if I just rolled away on one of the bikes during the race? 1989 (section)?’ She started laughing and said, ‘Would you seriously want to do something like that?’ I said, ‘What? I’d love to do that, are you serious?'” he recalled. “I’ve seen the show enough times that I might as well get in line here. And sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me. There was no bike in case I bumped into someone else or hit one of the dancers or something. It was kind of the safest option.”

Travis added that the move was “not his thing at all,” joking, “I don’t like going on stage. There were a lot of people there, I really didn’t feel comfortable.” Overall, he was happy with the “magical” surprise.

The interlude, he noted, was the “perfect time” for him to get on stage and “play an actor” with Swift. “(I) was just making sure to play with Tay and get her makeup right. It was a blast, I had so much fun,” he continued. “It was obviously an honor to be on stage with Taylor, but also Kam and Jan, who know Kam’s brother, Kalen Saunderswe played together in KC and won two Super Bowls together. … (He’s) one of my absolute favorite teammates, so to be able to rock the field with him and now rock the stage with his brother, you know … it was an absolute blast.”

Kelce said he was grateful to be with “three professionals” for this big moment – Swift and two of her dancers Kam Saunders And Jan Ravnik — which shows that he had only one thought in his head during the entire performance.

“‘Don’t drop the baby. Don’t drop Taylor when you go to that damn couch,'” he joked. “The golden rule was, ‘Don’t drop Taylor. Get her safely to the couch.'”

He praised Swift’s professionalism, adding: “When Taylor is on stage, you can’t go wrong, she’s the best at it. … A big thank you to Tay for letting me jump on stage with her. Who knows, maybe it won’t be the last time.”

When asked if fans should expect Kelce to share the stage with Swift again, Travis said, “Who knows? It might not be the last time.”
