Talented 4-star ATH plans visit to Michigan State Football

All eyes on the Michigan State University football program are turning to late July for the next big recruiting event. The official visits in June are now complete, so next on the agenda is the annual Spartan Dawg Con.

The Spartans already have a visitor scheduled and are now adding a very talented athlete from the class of 2026 to the list.

David Davis is a four-star ATH out of Pittsburgh, Penn. He is the No. 230 player in the country according to 247Sports overall rankings. Davis is also the No. 19 ATH in the class of 2026 as well as the No. 7 player from the state of Pennsylvania.

It’s still early in Davis’ recruitment and he only has 10 scholarship offers so far. These include Cincinnati, Kentucky, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and Michigan State. With Davis being so highly ranked, it’s only a matter of time before more teams pursue him. So MSU’s strong commitment so early should pay off later.

As mentioned, Davis will be visiting East Lansing in late July. An important note about this visit is that it is an unofficial visit, meaning Davis will have to pay for his own travel to campus, which shows how interested he is in the program.

No predictions have been made about Davis’ recruitment, but that’s no surprise at this point. But Michigan State has to be pleased since he’s choosing to come here instead of one of the other schools courting him.

Hopefully Jonathan Smith can work with Davis at the end of the month. He probably won’t commit anytime soon, but Michigan State has a chance to be at the top of his list, which would be a huge development at this point.
