Several teams are scared to death of the potential of Washington Commanders QB Jayden Daniels

Yes, we know that a new era has dawned for the Washington Commanders after the entire franchise has undergone a makeover from personnel to players, but what we don’t yet know is exactly how the team will fit together, look and perform when they put on their gear at training camp and start playing big games as the regular season begins.

But despite the fact that there are many unknowns surrounding the Commanders, many around the league are excited to see what Washington can do, and some are even worried about the level they can reach, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.

“Several people have said things to me this week, unprompted, like, ‘I’m terrified of what could happen to Washington with Jayden Daniels’…”

Jeremy Fowler, ESPN

“Several people have said this week, unprompted, ‘I’m scared to death of what Washington could become with Jayden Daniels, because he has the best running ability, like some of the other quarterbacks we’ve seen here, but he’s a better passer,'” Fowler reported. “For example, I’ve had people suggest that I compete with Lamar Jackson. Maybe not quite as good a runner as Jackson, but good enough, but a better passer than Jackson at this stage of his career. So the offensive line is really the only thing that could hinder Washington’s offense, because they have a lot of skill that can compete with Daniels.”

To be compared to Lamar Jackson is an honor in itself, but to be compared to him before they’ve even played a down and be viewed as a more complete passer at this stage of their respective careers is amazing. Daniels possesses an elite-level game in every way. He’s a proven passer who scored 40 touchdowns en route to winning the Heisman Trophy and has also shown the ability to come out of the pocket to make plays, racking up over 3,000 yards on the ground during his time at Arizona State and LSU.

Washington looked to improve its offensive line in the offseason and should move far ahead of last season’s worst unit. If the O-line holds up, the sky is the limit for Daniels and the Commanders’ offense in the foreseeable future.
