BALA CWNWYD – Crowds cheered on Montgomery Avenue as the Neighborhood Club of Bala Cynwyd hosted its annual Fourth of July Independence Day celebration.

The day included a parade from the Union Fire House on Montgomery Avenue down Bryn Mawr Avenue, Union Avenue, Bala Avenue and Llandrillo Road.

Attendees also enjoyed a patriotic celebration at the Bala Cynwyd Playground, live music, pony rides, a petting zoo with exotic animals, and information and presentations from community groups and associations. Former Township Commissioner George Manos was personally honored and awarded Citizen of the Year by the current commissioners.
