Song Il Kook’s wife’s face revealed on “You Quiz on the Block”

In the July 3 episode of tvN‘s Variety Show ‘Your quiz on the block‘ (hereinafter referred to as ‘You Quiz’), actor Song Il Kook revealed the love story with his wife, judge Jeong Seung Yeon.

The actor talked about how he met his wife, as Song Il Kook shared: “An entertainment reporter set me up on a blind date for fun,” and added, “At that time, I was playing the lead role in the drama “Jumong” and my popularity was sky high. But my wife rejected me twice. Out of spite, I insisted on meeting her..”

He continued, “The first time I met her was on liberation day. To be honest, it was love at first sight“ and openly shares his experiences.

The show also featured photos of Song Il Kook’s wife, including unedited pictures from their wedding. The couple dated for about two years before getting married in 2008 and having triplets in 2012.

As for the names of their triplets –Dae-Han, Min GukAnd Man Se—Song Il Kook explained: “The inspiration for their names came from my mother’s exclamation, “Ah! Dae Han, Min Guk, Man Se!” We originally wanted to name them Cheon, Ji and In, but we couldn’t find any other suitable names other than Cheon..”

Song Il Kook admitted, however, that his wife was worried about the names of their children. But after an appearance on KBS2‘S’The Return of Superman‘The name Man Se was very loved.

During the broadcast, Song Il Kook expressed his pride in appearing in a variety show with his children again after ten years. He also mentioned his current involvement in the play ‘Macbeth‘ with Hwang Jung-Min and talked about his weight loss journey and his theater activities.

He humorously remarked: “Before the birth of the children I was in top shape, but after the birth there was always food at home.”

Previously, false rumors about Song Il Kook’s divorce and separation spread on YouTube. Although Song Il Kook and his wife briefly lived apart due to a career reassignment, their relationship is still going strong.

The love story of Song Il Kook and Judge Jeong Seung Yeon as well as the episodes with their triplets were well received by viewers.
