SINGER Wes Nelson had to cancel his appearance at the Sizzle Club in Zante at short notice.
The MOBO-nominated star had planned to perform for his fans at the exclusive club today (July 5).
On Thursday, he wrote in his Instagram stories: “Due to circumstances beyond my control, I have been informed that my show in Zante tomorrow has been cancelled.”
“I’m sorry to all of you out there, I was looking forward to this.”
Wes has not yet announced any further details about his cancellation.
The Sun has contacted his representative for comment.
Since leaving Love Island in 2018, Wes has made a big name for himself in the music industry with his latest single featuring Craig David.
But in April, the star was forced to postpone his upcoming music tour.
He had planned to go on tour before the summer to perform for his fans, but has since postponed the tour dates until later this year.
Wes announced the news on Instagram, but admitted there was a good reason for it.
He told his followers that he had signed a new deal with Sony that would give him his own record label, Foot Down Records.
This allows him to release his music under his own company while continuing to receive support from industry giant Sony Music Entertainment.
Wes’ music career took off after participating in The X Factor: Celebrity as part of No Love Lost.
Since the band was formed, the star has embarked on his solo career and has had a number of chart hits, including “See Nobody,” “Nice To Meet Ya,” and “Abracadabra.”
He has worked with chart-topping acts such as French Montana and Clean Bandit.
Wes has postponed his tour
He explained on Instagram: “I’m really excited about my new project with Sony and launching my own record label, Foot Down Records.”
“However, since we have only just started this and the idea was to release brand new music for the tour, we have to postpone the tour.”
Wes continued, “We just wanted to put out more music because right now we don’t have enough to do another tour with.
“Now that it’s starting, we’re going to have a lot of new music and we’re literally working on getting everything ready and putting together the best tour possible.”
