Michigan State Football manages to sign the best player from Oklahoma

Jonathan Smith and his team are working hard to finalize their 2025 recruiting class. Currently, Michigan State Football has 14 commitments in its class and is ranked No. 47 in the country.

While the Class of 2025 is the highest priority for now, that doesn’t mean the staff will ignore the Class of 2026. The Class of 2026 recruits still have a long way to go as they enter 11th grade in high school this year, but laying the foundation for their top targets is extremely important.

And MSU seems to have done an excellent job so far, as they just made it into the top 11 elite running backs for the class of 2026.

Kaydin Jones is a four-star running back from Jenks, Oklahoma. He is the No. 1 player from Oklahoma and the No. 14 running back in the country according to On3. He is also the No. 102 player in the country overall.

As you probably guessed, Jones’ top 11 is packed with elite programs. It includes Alabama, Texas A&M, Tennessee, Oregon, Louisville, Ole Miss, Miami, Oklahoma, Vanderbilt and Missouri, as well as Michigan State.

As it stands today, Oklahoma, the top team in the state, is the team to beat for Jones. On3 gives them a massive advantage in this recruiting effort, giving them a 96.5 percent chance of winning this battle.

Fortunately, Michigan State still has plenty of time to catch up. Recruiting is still a year and a half away, so Smith and his team still have plenty of time to work their magic.

The next step is to get Jones to visit East Lansing. That alone won’t be an easy task, but if Smith can pull that off, Michigan State may have a chance to win this recruiting game.
