Dee Snider about his band Twisted Sisters

His band was one of the most successful bands of the 80s and gained international recognition. Nevertheless, the band members split up towards the end of the decade.

Speaking about the group’s hit song “We’re Not Gonna Take It,” Snider revealed that the band was formed a decade before it achieved mainstream success.

He wittily said that he could have been a doctor in that time. He also joked that he could have found a cure for cancer in 10 years.

After the band broke up, the lead singer had to file for bankruptcy twice. In between, he also worked as a desk jockey to earn money for his family. Luckily for him, one Christmas in 1998, Celine Dion came across a song that Snider had written many years earlier and received it.

The song was a huge success. Snider owned the publishing rights to the song, which earned him a decent payment. The singer said that after that, he ventured into various media areas, including “radio, voiceover, acting, reality TV, movies, I do all of those things.”
