The Rotary Club of Westfield-Mayville recently honored eight high school graduates with its “Service Above Self” scholarships.

The students, from four local school districts, including Ripley, were selected based on their high school experiences that exemplified their work and commitment to their communities and schools, and they were required to demonstrate leadership qualities that went above and beyond the call of duty.

The scholarships were funded by the club through its annual fundraising and a grant from Rotary District 7090.

The winners include:

Brocton – Richard Lundin and William Lanski IV

Chautauqua Lake – Quinn Putney and Catherine Klinek-Cornell

Sherman – Taryn Palmatier and Tayden Persons

Westfield Academy and Central School – Kimberly Delcamp and Mihir Patel.
