Which Pixel 9 series device are you most interested in? (Survey)

We’re getting four – yes, 4 – devices earlier than usual. Made by Google on August 13th. The Pixel 9 will come in more variants than ever before, but which ones are you most interested in?

In previous years, we had the simple choice between a small Pixel and a larger “Pro” Pixel. About 10 months after the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, we get the Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro “XL” and Pixel 9 Pro Fold. Two smartwatches are also included.

The naming convention seems silly, but it could help bring all the hardware under one roof. Does it make sense? That’s up to you – the potential buyer or the passionate Pixel fan – to decide.

Many hardware improvements are said to be coming, including an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, an updated Tensor G4 processor, and a new, boxier design. The latter will be one of the most notable changes to the Pixel series since its launch.

Adopting or borrowing a more iPhone-oriented design could be a huge success, or even result in fewer people being interested in the Pixel 9 than in the vibrant, friendly aesthetic Google has cultivated with the entire Pixel lineup—and its accompanying Android builds—over the past 4-5 years.

Having a lot of choice is a good thing, and we’re happy to see Google adding a few extra options to the usual end-of-year product release cycle. Just a couple of months ago, we talked about the Pixel 8a. Could the approach of launching four devices mean the A-series is in danger? That’s another question for another day.

Which Pixel 9 series device are you most interested in buying or wanting to learn more about? Let us know using the poll below and we’ll share the results with you in the next few days.
