Taylor Swift is Sabrina Carpenter’s biggest fan, which is saying something considering the “Espresso” singer has many loyal groupies.
Carpenter just took to Instagram to celebrate some of her most recent and impressive career achievements, writing alongside a series of photos: “And just like that you guys sold out the entire Short n’ Sweet tour, Espresso hit number 1 on pop radio and I went down that slide :’) Thank you all so much!!!
“I can’t wait to see you on the road”
Swift topped the comment section and gushed: “SABRINA’S SUMMER AND MAY IT CONTINUE FOREVER”
The two women have become huge fans in recent years, and Carpenter opened for most of Swift’s Eras tour—a wonderful full-circle moment, as Carpenter has been covering Swift’s songs since the late 2000s.
But of course, Ms. Swift wasn’t the only one praising Carpenter for her amazing performance. Zara Larsson in particular wrote, “Oh, this is absolutely insane,” and I couldn’t agree more.
The “Fortnight” singer’s statement that this is the “summer of Sabrina” has never been more true, as Carpenter continues to reach new milestones. For example, in June, her song “Please Please Please” took the number one spot on the Spotify charts from her own song “Espresso.” To celebrate, the pop star transformed herself into a Spider-Man meme, once again proving her signature sense of humor.
As for Swift, her Eras Tour continues without Carpenter, and instead with Paramore as the opening act.
The singer is currently performing in Amsterdam and will next travel to Zurich, Gelsenkirchen (also known as Swiftkirchen, of course), Hamburg, Munich, Warsaw, Vienna and London before returning to the US ahead of her October 18 performance in Miami.
