Pakistan State Oil: Pakistan State Oil ensures continuous fuel supply despite nationwide strike

ISLAMABAD: After the Petroleum Traders Association called for a nationwide strike, the Pakistan State Oil (PSO) announced that supply of petroleum products would be ensured across the country, ARY News reported on Thursday.

Pakistan State Oil is the Pakistani petroleum company engaged in the marketing and distribution of petroleum products.

The supply chain will be fully functional, the PSO said, adding that despite the nationwide strike by petrol station dealers, petrol stations will continue to be supplied with sufficient refill material.

“A continuous supply of petrol to the pumps will be ensured,” a PSO spokesman said, according to ARY News.

PSO, a nationwide company, is committed to ensuring continuous service throughout the strike and meeting the country’s fuel needs.

The All Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Union continued its nationwide strike on Friday, and earlier that day negotiations between the government team and the union had stalled.

The government had held talks with Pakistani oil traders following their call for a strike, but reports say an impasse between the two sides remains.

According to ARY News, the strike call by the All-Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association remains in force.

There will be no strike in Islamabad due to the death of the vice president of Punjab Oil Traders Association. Instead, traders will close all petrol stations across the country except in the national capital.

According to the All-Pakistan Petroleum Dealers Association, petrol stations across the country will close at 6 a.m. on July 5.
