Tricia, best known for her role as Gina Ward in ITV series Heartbeat, said: “I am deeply heartbroken to lose my dear friend Rose-Marie, rest in peace my dear heart,” she shared. “We were together in Blackpool just this time last week. I will miss you so much xxx.”

Robin claimed that Rose-Marie was in the middle of recording her 20th album and he was planning to travel to Blackpool on June 28 to perform with her in front of a celebrity audience at the North Pier.

He told the Belfast Telegraph: “I just can’t believe this has happened. I’ve known her for a bloody long time, I first met her in the 90s. I worked with her on a TV show called ‘Something for the Weekend’ for the BBC and over the years our paths crossed many times.”

He added: “She had so much to look forward to. She was in the studio recording a new album, there was a TV documentary being made about her, life was good.”
