Severe storms are possible in the Detroit metropolitan area this July 4th weekend

4Warn Weather – This Independence Day, the rain showers will end, allowing for beautiful fireworks displays in the Detroit metropolitan area.

Are you celebrating tonight? It will remain mostly cloudy and warm. Isolated showers are possible, but most activities will be over. Temperatures will be between 25 and 25 degrees.

At night it will remain mostly cloudy, humid and mild. Lows will be around 18 degrees Celsius west of US-23 and north of M-59. Temperatures in Detroit and neighboring communities will be around 18 degrees Celsius. The wind will be from the southwest at around 8 km/h.

Friday

Friday will see similar weather, but the chance of showers and thunderstorms will increase. Some storms could become strong to severe as a front approaches, bringing gusty winds. Aside from the chance of rain in the afternoon and evening, it will be mostly cloudy with highs in the 30s. Winds will be southeast at 5 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday night will be partly cloudy after evening rain showers and thunderstorms. Lowest temperatures will be between 15 and 18 degrees.

Saturday

Behind the front, it will be less humid and a few degrees cooler on Saturday. A few isolated showers are possible, but most areas will remain dry. Maximum temperatures will be between 25 and 27 degrees. With slightly cloudy skies, nighttime temperatures will be between 15 and 16 degrees.

Sunday

Sunday will bring pleasant weather with plenty of sunshine. Maximum temperatures will be just over 27 degrees. Minimum temperatures will fall to just over 18 degrees.

Nationally, Hurricane Beryl’s impact on Texas will increase on Sunday, with the possibility of making landfall along the South Texas coast.

Monday

Hot weather is forecast again for southeast Michigan on Monday. Highs will be between 27 and almost 32 degrees. Lows will be between 18 and 20 degrees.

While some showers will move into the region late Monday evening, the chance of rain is highest on Tuesday. The chance of rain will last from morning to evening. Maximum temperatures will be between 27 and 29 degrees, and minimum temperatures between 15 and 18 degrees.
