J-Novel Club Announces Winners of 1st JNC Original Light Novel Contest at Anime Expo 2024

J-Novel Club has announced the winners of the first JNC Original Light Novel Contest. first announced at the Anime Expo last year. From 450 entries, nine works were selected as winners of the main prize, first prize, BOOKWALKER prize and second prize.

In total, one grand prize, three first prizes, four runners-up, and one BOOKWALKER award winner were selected. All awards include cash prizes and will be published by J-Novel Club in the future.

The work that wins the Grand Prize will also be translated into Japanese and published by Kadokawa, with the possibility of a future manga adaptation. In addition, the work that wins the BOOKWALKER Prize will be specially promoted and will have an exclusive sales window on the bookstore’s website.

In addition, free previews of all 20 finalists are available and can be viewed for free on J-Novel Clubs website.

Another contest hosted by the J-Novel Club will be announced later this year. More details on the new novels submitted will be announced later.
