First matches booked for ROH Death Before Dishonor

Two title matches have been announced for the ROH Death Before Dishonor pay-per-view on Friday, July 26th.

Women’s World Champion Athena will defend her title at Death Before Dishonor against Queen Aminata. The fight was announced during Thursday’s TV episode of Ring of Honor. Athena has been out of action since May, and her absence from the ring was attributed to injury in the storyline. The Women’s World Champion had a legitimate injury scare in her last fight in May, but that was exaggerated in the storyline.

Athena’s “lackey” Billie Starkz will also defend her title at Death Before Dishonor.

It was also officially announced during Thursday’s TV episode of “Ring of Honor” that Starkz would defend the ROH Women’s TV Championship against Red Velvet at the July 26 pay-per-view.

Thursday’s episode also featured a draw between Lee Moriarty and Wheeler Yuta in a ROH Pure Championship Proving Ground match, giving Moriarty a shot at Yuta’s championship. This match has not yet been officially announced for the PPV.

The card announced so far for ROH Death Before Dishonor will be released on Friday, July 26th in the Honor Club:
