Travis Kelce shares major career update after announcing hiatus during Taylor Swift’s Amsterdam tour

While Season 2 just wrapped up, the duo announced a podcast hiatus. That’s not the only news from the Kelce clan, though. While we were happy to see Travis share insight into his high-profile relationship with Taylor Swift, such updates will have to wait until the next announcement, as Kansas City Chiefs practice is looming.

Travis and Jason announce plans for a break

Jason, who retired from the NFL this year, announced the news alongside his podcast co-host, Chiefs tight end Travis, on Wednesday’s final episode of the second season, which ended with a bang. The reason for the hiatus is simply the upcoming training season.

Following the Super Bowl win, Travis has enjoyed several vacations, either accompanying his girlfriend Taylor on her Eras tours or spending time with friends, but now it’s time to get back to work. Jason hinted at a possible return in late August, depending on their schedules.

Travis Kelce is about to start training camp

“We’ve had a nice couple of months off from podcasting because I guess in three weeks Travis will be in the middle of training camp,” Jason said Wednesday. “And I’m telling you, we just don’t have enough time to do a podcast, especially the best podcast in the world.”

Responding to fans’ concerns about when the duo would return with their juicy gossip and celebrity talk, the elder Kelce said, “He’s going to focus on football and get in shape for the upcoming season. So we’ll be off for about two months.”

Due to Travis Kelce’s upcoming training camp commitments, his fans may not see him join them on the remaining European leg of their Eras Tour, which is currently in Amsterdam. This coincides with July 4, a special date for the couple. Last year, she announced a concert in Kansas City on that very day. Ironically, that concert, held at the home stadium of Kelce’s team, the Kansas City Chiefs, is said to be the place where the couple’s romance began.
