Andrea Bocelli has revealed that he would like to collaborate with Taylor Swift to impress his self-confessed Swift daughter.

The 65-year-old Italian tenor has worked with a number of famous singers, including Ed Sheeran, Shania Twain, Nelly Furtado, Jennifer Lopez and Mary J. Blige.

But his 12-year-old daughter Virginia admitted she hopes the next artist he collaborates with is pop superstar Taylor.

Father and daughter spoke to The Mirror ahead of Andrea’s BST Hyde Park show on Friday night.

And when asked which star she would like to see her father duet with, Virgina said: “I love Taylor Swift and I’m going to one of her concerts in a few days. It would be great if he collaborated with her next.”

The 65-year-old Italian tenor has worked with a number of famous singers, including Ed Sheeran and Shania Twain, but his 12-year-old daughter Virginia is hoping Taylor (pictured Thursday) will be the next artist to feature.

Andrea admitted that he could see the potential of a duet with the biggest pop star in the world, saying: “I’ve thought about it and it could be a great thing.”

Virginia, who has the legendary singer with her wife Veronica Berti, has followed in her famous father’s footsteps and become a talented singer herself.

Andrea gushed to the publication that he loved listening to his daughter sing, but was also determined not to put pressure on her.

He said: “When she sings, it makes me very happy. Children need to be free and I hope that when she is older she will do what her heart tells her.”

Despite her young age, Virginia says she doesn’t get stage fright when she performs with her father.

She said, “It’s pretty normal (singing with my dad)… I usually sing at least one or two songs and I’ve gotten used to it now.”

The father-daughter duo delivered an emotional rendition of “Bambina Mia” during a performance on “Loose Women” on Wednesday.

In her speech to the panel, Virginia recalled the first time she sang with Andrea: “I think the first time was when I was 8 years old and I was in Palma.”

“I wasn’t supposed to sing. I don’t know exactly how that happened.”

Andrea added: “I had to sing Hallelujah and it has a lot of English words, so I asked Virginia to learn the song to sing it with me.”

Speaking about her choice of the song “Bambina Mia,” Virginia explained that it had a special meaning that filled her with emotion.

She said: “The song is about a father talking to his daughter about life and love. I was emotional when I recorded it. It took a long time to record it because I was crying, then my father noticed and made fun of me.”

Before his show on Friday, Andrea continued: “It’s a dream come true for me to finally play in Hyde Park.”

The international superstar will be accompanied by Britain’s most sought-after orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, under the direction of the talented Michele Spotti.

The incredible festival day will be hosted by TV favourite Myleene Klass and will also feature performances from artists such as Nadine Sierra, Isabel Leonard and Luca Micheletti, as well as a choir from the Crouch End Festival Chorus.
