Two amazing statistics show the immense value of New York Jets’ CB Sauce Gardner

The 2022 NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year was as good as it gets in late-game situations, according to Focus on professional football. Gardner, who is PFF’s No. 1 overall cornerback through 2024, has two jaw-dropping PFF-calculated stats over the past two seasons.

When it comes to fourth-quarter pass coverage, Gardner has been the NFL standard since 2022. The former 4th overall draft pick allowed just 76 receiving yards in the fourth quarter and overtime, the lowest in the league.
