The first day of action with MLBB and COD Warzone has come to an end at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang took the stage first, with the action streamed live from the Amazon Arena in Riyadh.

The group stage began with a total of six matches, with the top teams playing mostly as usual. The biggest surprise of the day came from Falcon Esports, who narrowly beat Cloud9 and won both maps with scores of 19-7 and 23-18.

Homebois managed to blow Team Spirit out of the water, winning their matches in a dominant fashion 16-7, 19-3. Other winners include Liquid Echo, NiP Flash, Fnatic ONIC and Falcons AP.Bren, who defeated Twisted Minds, Fire Flux Esports, Team Falcons and Xianyou.

The last two MLBB games were between EVOS Glory and RRQ Akira and between See You Soon and Selangor Red Giants, both of which ended in a 1-1 draw.

Call of Duty: Warzone

The solo ranking for Call of Duty: Warzone was also determined today with 8 matches, all of which were played in the renowned stc Arena.

The second game ended particularly eventfully when StableJay came out of the gas, surprised Oekiy and claimed the win.

Twisted Minds finished the seeding phase in 1st place, collecting an impressive 107.3 points, followed by Guild Esports, SvGe Esports, Cloud9 and Team Vitality.

All participating clubs will now be divided into three groups, each of which will play eight maps. The top 14 clubs will then advance to the final, which will begin on July 6, 2024. Another eight maps will be played and the club with the highest score will be declared the EWC Call of Duty: Warzone champion!
