Kevin Bacon dons an elaborate disguise to experience life as a civilian

Kevin Bacon recently experienced life as a non-famous person and dressed up in elaborate costumes to see what life would be like if he were not recognizable to the public. In an interview with Vanity FairThe Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F The actor said he quickly came to the conclusion: “This is crap.”

Bacon, who is currently starring in Ti West’s horror film MaXXXineexplained VF“I’m not complaining, but I have a face that is easily recognizable. Putting on a hat and glasses only works to a certain extent.”

So, Bacon said, “I went to a special effects makeup artist, got some advice, and asked him to make me a prosthetic costume.”

Per VFhe was accessorized with false teeth, a slightly different nose and glasses. When he tried out the look at the open-air shopping center The Grove in Los Angeles, “nobody recognized me,” Bacon said. But things soon turned around. “People were kind of pushing past me and not being nice. Nobody said ‘I love you.’ I had to stand in line to buy, I don’t know, fucking coffee or whatever. I thought, this sucks. I want to be famous again,” he said. VF.

The actor, who has been working continuously since the late 1970s and became a megastar in 1984 with “The Last Man”, Unboundalso said VF“I’m honestly very grateful for where I am now. That within a couple of days, two completely different films and completely different roles are coming out. The fact that I got both is what I’m most grateful for. I fought really long and hard for this.”
