Kevin Bacon learns he prefers being famous after dressing up in public

Actor Kevin Bacon has been a huge celebrity since the 1980s, so he has little idea what life is like for the less famous. Unbound The star was curious enough to know what it would feel like to go back, but he realized pretty quickly that he preferred his fame.




According to Vanity Fair, Bacon recounted how he disguised himself to spend a day in public without being recognized. It didn’t take long for Bacon to notice how differently everyone treated him, and it seems he missed the admiration of fans as well as the other perks of being a popular star. At the end of his experiment, the Friday the 13th Alum decided to embrace his fame. To make sure his experiment worked, Bacon knew he couldn’t just throw himself into a cheap disguise, so the actor even enlisted the help of a Hollywood professional to disguise him.

“I’m not complaining, but I have a face that is quite recognizablehe said. “Putting on my hat and glasses only works to a certain extent. I went to a special effects makeup artist, got some advice and asked him to make me a prosthetic cladding.”

Bacon’s disguise consisted of false teeth, a different nose and glasses – a look that is incomparable to the role he plays in the new horror film set in the ’80s. MaXXXineTo make the most of the experience, he went to The Grove, a popular shopping mall in Los Angeles. The disguise worked because no one recognized Bacon, making him feel virtually invisible. Today, he says he is “grateful” for the position he has in his life.

The veteran actor continued: “I am really grateful for the place I am in now. That two completely different films with completely different roles can come out within a few days. The fact that I got both is what I’m most grateful for. I fought really long and hard for this.”

Bacon can be seen in the new Netflix sequel, Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Fwhich is now streaming on Netflix. He can also be seen in the new slasher film MaXXXinewill be in theaters on July 5th.
