Bebe Rexha claims she can

Singer Bebe Rexha said: “Things have to change”

Bebe Rexha claimed in an online tirade that she could “bring down” the music industry.

The singer – best known for hits such as “In the Name of Love” and “I’m Good (Blue)” – launched her tirade on social media on Tuesday (July 2).

The 34-year-old wrote to X: “I could bring down a HUGE part of this industry. I’m frustrated. I’ve been UNDERMINED. I’ve been so quiet for so long. I didn’t see the signs even though people keep bringing them up and they were SO OBVIOUS.”

“And when I’ve spoken out, I’ve been silenced and punished by this industry. Something has to change or I’m speaking ALL my truths. The good, the bad and the ugly.”

Bebe then seemed to add more information when she told her fans that her rant was not born out of “anger,” but rather out of “sadness” over her treatment in the industry since she started singing in 2014.

She added: “I’m sitting in my hotel room in London crying my eyes out. I’ve felt hopeless for the longest time. I’ve been walking around this city a lot and meeting fans and they’ve really sparked something in me.”

The singer later added: “Thank you to everyone who is checking in on me. I am working on these issues and fighting for what is rightfully my right.”

“Many news outlets have asked for an interview. If you want to write about me, please support my new music. Thanks again. Love you.”

Her posts were flooded with comments and support from fans, with one responding, “We’re behind you, baby.”

Another shared: “And we will be here to support you! You are seen and appreciated.”

A third added: “We are here to support you! Put this behind you so it doesn’t hurt anymore.”

However, some fans claimed that she had to brag and say who she was talking about. Others even suggested that her rant could be part of a ploy to promote her new single “I’m The Drama.”

One skeptical fan posted: “Doing this whilst promoting a new single ‘I’m The Drama’ is perfect timing – marketing or not! xx.”

However, Bebe refuted claims that it was all about promoting her new release, replying: “Marketing? I don’t have a budget for that. I’M SICK OF IT.”
