Brevard Zoo launches new Science Sundays series

MELBOURNE, Florida. – The Brevard Zoo has introduced a new interactive program that will run the remainder of the summer.

Science Sundays, which will take place from July 7 to August 25, is an interactive program that combines education and entertainment and aims to encourage curiosity and a love of science in all guests through hands-on activities and expert sessions, according to a press release.

The zoo announced that this series will allow guests to “escape the heat and learn something interesting!” From interactive experiences with conservation and environmental science exhibits to observing animal behavior, Science Sundays combines fun and learning in a way that is sure to please everyone.

Each Sunday there is a different range of activities and overarching themes including Conservation Chronicles and Bonsai & Botanicals. There are also interactive chats every week at 11:30am and 1pm. Entry is included with zoo admission and events take place on Sundays from 10am to 3pm at Nyami Nyami River Lodge.
