Mason Graham is already being considered a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft as he prepares for his junior season in Ann Arbor. After a quick look at his recent offseason workouts, it’s not hard to see why. In the video below, Graham goes through a series of workouts that show just how quick he is on his feet and why he makes life so difficult for opposing offensive lines.
At 6’3″ and 315 pounds, Graham is arguably the most dominant defensive lineman in all of college football. He plays fast and violently, but is extremely disciplined and technically efficient — making for a very long afternoon trying to stop him. In his sophomore season in 2023, Graham finished fourth on the team in tackles for loss (7.5) and sixth in sacks (3.0). He was the best defensive player in the CFP Rose Bowl matchup against Alabama, was selected by the coaches to the All-Big Ten first team and to the All-American second team.
Graham is one of the focal points of a defense that should be one of the best in the country, with players like Kenneth Grant, Josaiah Stewart, Derrick Moore, Ernest Hausmann, Jaishawn Barham, Makari Paige and Will Johnson. From top to bottom, there are no discernible weaknesses in Michigan’s 2024 defense.
If the Wolverines defeat Ohio State for the fourth time in a row, win their fourth consecutive Big Ten title and once again pursue a national championship, Mason Graham will undoubtedly play an important role.
Mason Graham is TERRIBLE 😳
No centre-back has been selected in the top five since Quinnen Williams in 2019… will Graham be the one to break that streak? 👀 pic.twitter.com/ARzlLSjWOP
