BTS member Kim Taehyung, who is currently serving in the South Korean military, recently spoke with Jinny’s Kitchen 2 director Na Yeong-seok. As allkpop reports, Kim Taehyung, aka V, spoke to him in a “dejected tone.” V was one of the interns at Jinny’s Kitchen and now Go Min-si has replaced him in season two of the show. What did Taehyung tell the director of the show?

Yeong-seok recently reviewed the first episode of Jinny’s Kitchen 2 in a live broadcast on YouTube. Regarding Taehyung, Yeong-seok said, “Apparently, you can use your phone in the military these days. After the first episode aired, I got a call from Taehyung. He asked me in a very dejected voice, ‘Is Go Min Si really that good?'”

He added, “So I replied, ‘Don’t worry, Taehyung. You’ve been working hard and Min Si is working hard too. When you get back, you can come back to us and then the puzzle will be complete. Then it will be a lot more entertaining. For anyone who’s interested, Taehyung is doing well in the military. When I get calls from him from time to time, he says that the people there are really good people. I think he’s doing well and staying healthy.”

tvN’s Jinny’s Kitchen 2 is set in Iceland. It stars Lee Seo-jin, Park Seo-joon, Choi Woo-shik, Jung Yu-mi and new intern Go Min-si. In the show, the staff serves traditional Korean dishes to Icelanders. This season, Yu-mi is the general manager, Seo-oon is in charge of the director, and long-time intern Woo-shik has been promoted to assistant manager. Jinny’s Kitchen 2 premiered on June 28.
