Since 1916, members of the Rotary Club of Key West have embodied the international organization’s ideal of “selfless service.”
The club’s annual induction ceremony was held on June 27 at the Key West Theater, where Britt Myers of Keys Weekly accepted the presidential gavel from outgoing President Yvette Mira-Talbott.

Refreshments were provided by the competent Catered Affairs from Key West and DJ Sanaris provided the soundtrack for the evening.
It was a busy week for Key West Rotarians as they finalized plans for the club’s annual Star-Spangled Celebration on July 4th.
With financial and personnel support from the City of Key West, the Club hosts an Independence Day afternoon picnic and evening fireworks display for Key West residents and visitors from the Edward B. Knight Pier at the foot of White Street.
All proceeds from Independence Day events benefit the club’s generous scholarship program.
Last year alone, the Rotary Club of Key West raised more than $140,000 to support children’s programs, scholarships and more.
