The Brothers Osborne, a duo that will perform in the HU Presents concert series on August 18th.

Harrisburg University Presents today announced an expansion of its summer concert program just as the outdoor stage is being set up for the first shows of the season this weekend.

Country music duo Brothers Osborne will perform at Riverfront Park in Harrisburg on Sunday, August 18th at 8 p.m. Featuring TJ Osborne and John Osborne, who have been writing and performing together their entire lives.

The pair are the reigning winners of the Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Duo of the Year and are known for their progressive yet classic country music style. Tickets go on sale Friday.

Coincidentally, HU is busy preparing this week for the first music weekend of its 2024 summer series.

The first concert will take place on Friday, June 21st at 8pm and will feature country music from Jenny Lewis, the award-winning singer-songwriter. The concert, which is part of her Joy’all tour, will also feature special guest Dean Johnson.

Fleet Foxes, an American indie folk band from Seattle led by lead singer and songwriter Robin Pecknold, will perform on Sunday, June 23rd at 8 p.m.

Psychedelic soul band Black Pumas, led by Eric Burton and Adrian Quesada, will take the stage at 8pm on Thursday, July 25. The HU Presents website describes the group as “one of the most electrifying new acts of recent years.”

A concert on Sunday, July 28 at 8 p.m. features country singer-songwriter Orville Peck, known for his strong musicianship, narrative songwriting style and signature mask, which he is never seen without.

“We’re excited to be back in Riverfront Park for the fifth year to bring even more incredible live music experiences to the region,” said Frank Schofield, director of live entertainment at Harrisburg University. “This year’s lineup will not disappoint. We can’t wait to get going with Jenny Lewis and Fleet Foxes. The Black Pumas will be back in July – this time on the Riverfront Park stage – and we’re excited to have Orville Peck back for this new tour.”
