Yoda the turtle is hosting a book signing in Manistique this Saturday

Remember when Yoda the turtle disappeared in Manistique in March? Well, this is the moment we’ve all been waiting for. Tonight on What’s UP with Megan, we’re celebrating Yoda’s first book, “Yoda’s Yooper Adventure!”

“Yoda’s Yooper Adventure” is a heartwarming story that captures Yoda’s imaginary journey during the 72 hours of his disappearance.

Written by Sarah Jean Adolphus and edited by Alicia Vargo, Yoda’s Yooper Adventure takes readers on a captivating trek through the woods of the UP. Yoda’s story of getting lost, making new friends, and eventually finding his family is brought to life through illustrations by local artist Mary Weber. The book also includes a dedication page honoring the community members who helped in the search for Yoda.

The launch event will take place Saturday at Power of 10 Retail in Manistique. From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., visitors can meet Yoda and purchase a copy of his adventure.

In addition to the book signing, Power of 10 Retail will also have a number of other items for sale, including soaps, blankets and candles.
