Reynolds’ preference for Logan is shared by many, including Jackman, director James Mangold, and several fans of comic book movies. Logan was well received by critics and was the first comic book movie to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay, while receiving a 93% Rotten Tomatoes rating. The film was also a major box office hit ($619.2 million) and seemed like a fitting farewell to Jackman’s long run as Wolverine, which stretches back to the 2000s. X-Men.
