Producers of “John Wick” remake celebrated Indian action film

Chad Stahelski, the director of the highly successful modern action film series, John Wickis now producing an English remake of the Indian action film, Kill.




Accordingly diversityStahelski and his production company 87Eleven Entertainment are producing the remake for Lionsgate. The original Kill is directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat and will be released in North America and the UK on July 4th thanks to Lionsgate and Roadside Attractions. This is one of the very few cases where a major American studio has partnered to distribute a Hindi-language film. Jason Spitz and Alex Young are also producing the remake for 87Eleven Entertainment, which has worked on well-known films such as Captain America: Civil War, Jurassic World and other.

What Stahelski said about the project:

In a statement, John WickStahelski said: “Kill is one of the liveliest, wildest and most creative action films I’ve seen in recent times. Nikhil delivers relentless action sequences that deserve to be seen by as wide an audience as possible. It’s exciting to be developing an English-language version – we have big shoes to fill and I look forward to working with Nikhil, Karan, Apoorva, Guneet and Achin to make that happen.”

In a joint statement, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta of Dharma Productions and Guneet Monga Kapoor & Achin Jain of Sikhya Entertainment said, “When we ‘Kill“With Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, we dreamed of global love and when we heard North American cinemas chanting ‘Kill! Kill! Kill!’ it was as if that vision became a reality. “This announcement before the release of the original film is unprecedented and a huge achievement for Indian cinema. We are truly honoured.”

Meanwhile, there are talks about a possible return of Stahelski for JohnWick 5 starring Keanu Reeves.
