“Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” by Karol G lands in second place

Karol G reaches her 27th top 10 on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart, as “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” debuts at No. 2 on the July 6 list. Released June 21 via Bichota/Interscope/ICLG, the song opens in the upper regions three months after “Contigo” featuring Tiesto ended its four-week run in the top 10.

“Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” opens at No. 2 with activity across all metrics integrated into Hot Latin Songs (airplay, streams and sales). During the tracking week of July 21-27, the song recorded 11.9 million official U.S. streams, according to Luminate. Thanks to this total, the song opens at No. 33 on the Streaming Songs overall chart and No. 2 on the Latin Streaming Songs.

As for the other metrics contributing to Hot Latin Songs, song sales and radio airplay, “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido” was downloaded 2,000 times during the same period, topping Latin Digital Song Sales for its second week. It also debuts at No. 29 on the overall Latin Airplay chart with 4.1 million audience impressions.

With the second place of “Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido”, Karol G reaches her 27th place in the top 10 and 10^th unaccompanied by another artist. Her first top 10 unaccompanied by another artist was “Ay, Diso Mío” in 2020, which peaked at number 5. Of her 27 top 10s, eight reached number 1. Her most recent top-seller was “Qlona” featuring Peso Pluma for five weeks in 2023.

Most notably, Karol and Gloria Estefan are the only two women to debut in the top two of Hot Latin Songs with songs unaccompanied by another artist. Karol debuted in the top two with three unaccompanied solo songs (“Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido,” “Mi Ex Tenía Razón,” and “Provenza”), and Estefan did so in 2012 with “Hotel Nacional.”

In addition to Karol’s No. 2 debut on Hot Latin Songs, the merengue-based song returns Karol to the top 10 on Tropical Airplay after nearly eight years, where “Conocido” posted an 18-3 gain in its third week. Her first and last visit to the top 10 came in 2016 with “Casi Nada.”

In addition, “Si Antes” grants Karol her 31^st Career entry into the All-Genre Billboard Hot 100 with a start at number 34.
