David Beckham and his wife Victoria proved once again that their fashion choices are timeless as the football legend shared a throwback look in their iconic purple wedding outfits from 25 years ago.
The snap, which David captioned, “Look what we found…” followed by a laughing emoji, shows the couple holding hands, sitting on thrones as they did on their big day, wearing their timeless wedding outfits by Antonio Berardi.
Victoria looks stunning in her purple dress with striking red lining and bouquet of flowers, paired with silver strappy sandals, while David looks dapper in a matching purple suit, complete with purple suede shoes and a boutonniere.
The post quickly garnered admiration from fans, reports OK!, with one fan gushing: “This is my royal family,” and another chiming in: “I’m going to tell my kids this is the Queen and King of England.”
Others joined in the nostalgia, with one saying: “This is iconic,” and another recalling: “When you bought @ok_mag this week just for the photos,” referring to the coverage of the Beckham wedding.
David has humorously criticised his wedding outfit in the past, telling Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs: “I look like the guys from Dumb and Dumber when they went to the party and wore these ridiculous outfits. I even had a purple top hat on. Unbelievable. What was I thinking?”
The Beckham couple first surprised their guests with their matching outfits at their big wedding in Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland on July 4, 1999.
At the ceremony, which is rumoured to have cost a whopping half a million pounds, baby Brooklyn, then just four months old, took on the role of ring bearer and David’s football buddy Gary Neville acted as best man.

The main ceremony saw 29 exclusive invites, including Spice Girls Mel B, Mel C and Emma Bunton, and the larger reception welcomed over 230 guests. Their first dance was to Frank Sinatra’s classic “It Had to be You.”
However, it seems her iconic purple combination wasn’t the only outfit change of the day. A young Victoria, 25, walked down the aisle in an off-the-shoulder ivory Vera Wang gown and a striking £10,000 crown, while her groom David, then 24, wore an ivory and cream suit for the ceremony.
Shortly after, they donned their purple ensembles and even customized their gear to baby Brooklyn, who wore his own little purple cowboy hat.
After more than two decades of marriage, the couple expanded their family to include Romeo (21), Cruz (19) and Harper (12), who now join Beckham’s team. Earlier this year, Victoria spoke about the secrets of their relationship in an interview with Elle Magazine.
She said: “My husband is an inspiration to me. Do we look like the couple in the Netflix documentary? Yes. We like to have fun, chat, dance, drink. And laugh at each other. That’s what you need to be happy. I believe very much in laughter, family and friendship. I realise that we have become a role model. People like to see relationships that last.”
