In the Crystal Rasch case, the death is now being investigated in Dodge County


Crystal Rasch, 37, was reported missing on June 23 and was last seen on or about June 11.

JUNEAU – The investigation into the disappearance of 37-year-old Crystal Rasch, who was reported missing on June 23, has evolved into a death investigation.

The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office announced the change in the investigation in a July 3 press release.

“The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been conducting an ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Crystal Rasch and during the course of the investigation it was determined that this case was no longer a missing person investigation but rather a death investigation,” the press release said. “To protect the integrity of the investigation, details of the death investigation will not be released as this is still a very active investigation.”

Crystal Rasch’s estranged husband, Zachariah Rasch, 42, of Clyman, was arrested on suspicion of using Crystal Rasch’s bank accounts after her disappearance. He was arrested on multiple counts of suspected unauthorized use of a person’s personal identification information and is being held in the Dodge County Jail on $250,000 bail.

Crystal Rasch, of Clyman, was last seen on or about June 11 and was reported missing on June 23. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has been searching for her using only police-authorized searches.

No further details were announced on July 3.
