Jason Kelce belts out Taylor Swift’s “favorite song” on “New Heights”

Jason Kelce is as obsessed with Taylor Swift’s entire discography as any self-respecting Swiftie.

In fact, the former Philadelphia Eagles center – whose younger brother Travis Kelce is famously dating the 14-time Grammy winner – couldn’t help but belt out his “new favorite song” by Swift in the latest episode of the series “The Brothers.” New heights Podcasts.

Travis and Jason were busy discussing Travis’ surprise performance at Wembley Stadium when the 34-year-old Kansas City Chiefs tight end mentioned the name of the song the stage skit was about.

After Swift’s nightly performance of “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived,” two of her most famous background dancers are on hand during the between-song skit, “trying to bring Tay back to life so she’s ready for the rest of the show,” Travis explained. During her June 22 show in London, Travis – in character – was also there to carry her across the stage and prepare the singer for the rest of the set, “knowing she can do it with a broken heart,” he added.

It was Travis’ mention of “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” — the encouraging, Department for Tortured Poets Following the sketch, Swift sings a hymn to heartbreak that immediately turned Jason into a fangirl.

“By the way, I think this has become my favorite song,” Jason enthused. “It was already a great melody.”

“Dude,” Travis said, smiling approvingly.

“I’m so depressed that I pretend every day is my birthday!” Jason sang, while Travis nodded his head to the beat of the tune, trying to join in. “Nice,” he complimented his older brother.

“Well, everyone can relate to that,” Jason continued. “You’re in a really bad mood, but you -“

“You gotta do that, man!” Travis interjected, calling Swift a “true showman.”

Jason, for his part, was also completely overwhelmed by the whole experience of hosting two of Swift’s three London Eras shows last month – his first Swift concerts ever.

“You realise so quickly that you know every word to these songs, everyone in the stadium knows every single word to these songs. You get into this trance of energy that Taylor and the whole performance exudes, but then everything that the music exudes, everything that the fans exude… it really sweeps you up,” he marvelled, adding how impressive and rare it was to see young children and adults enjoying the show in exactly the same way.

“The pure joy – everyone – it doesn’t matter who you are, what stage of life you’re in, anything – everyone has a blast doing this thing and that’s what makes it so entertaining,” he enthused.
