Travis Kelce says the stage performance with Taylor Swift was his idea

The Kansas City Chiefs star told his brother: Jasonin this week’s episode of “New heights“that he initially wanted to ride a bicycle during part of one of the pop star’s “Eras” tours in 1989.

But after some concerns arose about the big football player accidentally colliding with other background dancers, Swift proposed another solution: a role in the “Tortured Poets Department” section of her set.

The two came up with the plan last month just before their shows in London… and executed it perfectly on June 23rd.

As you’ve seen by now, just before Swift crooned “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” — helped bring the singer back to life …and all in a tuxedo. He went on to tell Jason that the experience was “fantastic.”

“It was a blast, man,” said the tight end. “I had so much fun. It was an honor to be on stage.”

Travis, however, said he was a little nervous as he stood with his loved one in front of the packed stadium… explaining that he was terrified of dropping Swift as he carried her to the sofa on stage.

“Listen,” he said to Jason, “the only thing I told myself is, ‘Don’t drop the baby. Don’t drop that – don’t drop Taylor when you go to that damn couch.'”

But Kelce came through it all unscathed… and Jason couldn’t have been prouder as he told his little brother, “You rocked it.”
