Who is Leah Kateb?

Leah Kateb plays the lead role in season 6 of Love Island USA.

According to Screen Rant, the 24-year-old was born on November 28, 1999, in Los Angeles, California, to Persian parents who immigrated to the United States from Iran.

Her native language was Farsi and she grew up in Bell Canyon. She now lives with her family in Calabasas.

Leah grew up with a love of film. According to the outlet, she has talked about particularly liking films by director David Lynch, who created Twin Peaks and Mulholland Drive.

The new TV star is a college student and animal lover who has been a vegetarian for 11 years.

According to Screen Rant, Leah has three dogs, three horses, and a few pigs as pets and says she wants to have more animals around her in the future.

She “has a strong social life” and has attended events such as Coachella.

She has built a large following on social media; her Instagram page @leahkateb has 128,000 followers.

What did Andrea from Love Island USA say about Leah and Rob after she left the villa?

During her time on Love Island USA, Leah was involved in drama between the cast members.

According to Screen Rant, she “instantly formed a connection” with contestant Rob Rausch.

The two were “considered a power couple” until Rob “caught Leah off guard” by setting her up with bombshell Andrea Carmona, according to the outlet.

Rob began “sending mixed signals and toying with both women until he was sure who he wanted to be with, completely abandoning Leah in the process.”

After an affair with Connor Newsum – who was dating JaNa Craig – Leah voted to kick Andrea out of the villa, Screen Rant reported.

Andrea spoke about Leah and Rob after her exit.

In a June 26, 2024 interview with Today.com, Andrea said, “When it came down to Rob and I competing against Leah and Connor (Newsum), I felt like the fans probably sympathized more with Leah and just wanted her to stay, rather than Rob and I. I think we may have had some haters.”

The personal trainer from Miami, Florida, also discussed what Leah would say about Rob.

“She definitely chose her words. She definitely said a lot of negative things about him,” Andrea said.

“In her defense, she never said it to me directly, if we’re being precise. But she did shout it really loudly in the dressing rooms when we were all getting ready to get up. So it’s like she was saying those negative things about him on purpose.

“Then she’d come back and say something like, ‘Oh, but, you know, I hope things work out with you,’ or ‘I hope he treats you differently for your sake,’ things like that. It felt kind of malicious in that way. And I felt like she was just trying to get into my head.

“But I told him, ‘Listen, no matter what she says, I have thick skin and I’m going to judge my experience against yours based on what we share. That was her experience, not mine.’ She had a lot to say about him and I just ignored it. She was emotional. I understand that. Her situation was different.”

When asked if she “hoped” she could “rekindle something” with Rob outside of the show, Andrea replied: “I don’t want to ruin anyone. But if I did, I would only be joking. I obviously want the best for (him).

“At the end of the day, if there’s someone out there for him, that’s great because it’s doing me a favor. If he finds someone there, then it’s OK. Then it wasn’t meant to be for us and I can sit there and deal with it and move on.

“In contrast, I feel like it’s harder for me now. It’s kind of a waiting game. He’s there with all these potential connections and I’m back in the real world. I go home and kind of get back to my routine.

“So it’s tough. I don’t think I’m going to watch. I’m going to wait for people to tell me what’s going on.

“Part of me would love to relive it, of course, and see if what we had in there was real. I would love to have a conversation with him, after all is said and done. What I felt was not fabricated. I still feel it.”

She continued, “I’m in a good mood right now. But I know when I see him, it’s probably going to all come back up. I’m excited and curious to see where this is going or could go or if this is just the end and we end up being really good friends.”
