Simon Cowell is currently on the hunt for the “next One Direction” as the mogul of The X Factor and Britain’s Got Talent tries to help another boy band achieve global fame.

Simon Cowell is currently searching all over the UK for the “next One Direction”

Simon Cowell received devastating news during his search for the “next One Direction.”

The mogul of “X Factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent” wants to help another boy band achieve world fame, but one artist doesn’t seem to be interested. The 64-year-old is putting up billboards across the country and hoping to find “megastars” for his new musical project.

Casting teams working for Simon have approached some up-and-coming artists via social media, a message that was not welcomed by one group. Fin Power, the frontman of Liverpool-based band STONE, received a message from Cowell’s staff, posting the entire approach on his social media and revealing the private details behind the project’s strategy.

On social media, Fin wrote: “I received this message from someone on behalf of Simon Cowell.” It read: “Hi Fin. I am contacting you on behalf of Simon Cowell! We are working with him to find singers aged 16-18 for a new boy band. The video will be filmed as part of a possible TV documentary following him on his search.”

“The company following Simon Cowell is BTBSC Series Ltd, trading as Box-to-Box Films. I would be happy to give you more information on how to audition for this if you are interested.” In a brutal response, Fin replied: “Tell Simon to fuck off.”

This comes after it was announced that Simon’s show will be on Netflix under the title Simon Cowell: Midas Touch. “Netflix is the perfect place for his new show and Box To Box, who produce the series, have worked with them before,” a source told The Sun. “Simon and his team have worked so hard to get the show off the ground and now a final deal is so close.”

The name of Simon’s show reportedly didn’t sit well with some behind the scenes. The inside source told the outlet, “Simon knows he’s the best at what he does and calling his show the Midas Touch gives new meaning to the term self-praise.”

Casting for the show includes X-Factor bootcamp-style auditions in Newcastle from tomorrow, before heading off to Liverpool, Dublin and London. Last week, Simon said he would “drop dead” before retiring as he doesn’t want to be in the same position as his father.
