The Voice Kids will not return to screens next year after seven seasons – ITV

As ITV confirmed, The Voice Kids will not return to UK screens next year as the show takes a “hiatus” after seven seasons.

The Junior Edition launched in 2017 as a spin-off of the popular adult version of the singing competition and was looking for new singing talents between the ages of seven and 14.

Pop star Pixie Lott, Danny Jones from McFly and US rapper Will.i.am have been on the jury since the beginning – as has presenter Emma Willis.

The fourth chair was occupied by numerous stars, including Jessie J, Paloma Faith and Melanie C. Last year, Boyzone singer Ronan Keating completed the line-up.

An ITV spokesperson said: “After seven fantastic series on ITV1 and ITVX, The Voice Kids will take a break in 2024.

“We are working with Lifted Entertainment on The Voice UK for 2024 and on developing The Voice branded specials.”

The winners of the latest season were identical twins Shanice and Andrea Nyandoro, who impressed the judges at their first audition with their rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “Faith.”

The duo were crowned winners of 2023 at the grand finale earlier this month.

Previous winners of the show were Israella Chris in 2022, Torrin Cuthill in 2021, Justine Afante in 2020, Sam Wilkinson in 2019, Daniel Davies in 2018 and Jess Folley in the inaugural year in 2017.

ITV will continue to produce the adult edition of The Voice UK, which will feature Will.i.am on the judging panel alongside Olly Murs, Sir Tom Jones and Anne-Marie.
