Huntsville star Keke Jabbar dies at 42

Keke Jabbar, best known for her leading role in “Love & Marriage: Huntsville,” has died at the age of 42.

The reality star’s death was announced by blogger Marcella Speaks, who read a statement from Jabbar’s family on Tuesday.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love,” she said on behalf of the late star’s family during a YouTube livestream.

“She was a mother, a sister and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be greatly missed and we ask for respect and privacy in this moment of grief as we process this great loss. The Jabbar family and the Scott family.”

Marcella said Jabbar died “peacefully at home, surrounded by love.”

The cause of death has not yet been determined at this time.

Following the heartbreaking announcement, Jabbar’s cousin and co-star LaTisha Scott asked for privacy while she deals with the news.

“In this moment of grief, we ask for RESPECT and PRIVACY as we process this great loss! This is hard on our family!!!!!” Scott wrote on Instagram on Tuesday.

Despite their relationship, Scott famously got into an argument with Jabbar during the pair’s appearance on the hit reality TV show.

“Love & Marriage: Huntsville” follows the lives of three couples in Huntsville, Alabama who invest in real estate.

The OWN show has proven to be a huge success with a total of 8 seasons.

Jabbar, for her part, was last active on social media in May.

Before her Memorial Day post, Jabbar posted a series of snapshots from her eldest son Amaree’s high school graduation.

“My firstborn graduated from high school yesterday and it was such an emotional experience,” she captioned the May 23 Instagram post.

“I never thought 18 years would go by so quickly! We are so proud of you, Amaree. Shine like the star you are!!!”

In addition to her time on the show, Jabbar was also a writer, editor and professor.
