Rock singer’s cancer diagnosis forces band to cancel tour

Heart, the classic rock band of Ann Wilson and Nancy Wilson, had to postpone the “Royal Flush Tour”.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Ann Wilson of Heart announced that the band’s tour has been postponed following her recent cancer diagnosis.

Wilson posted a statement on social media platform X, saying she recently underwent surgery to remove what turned out to be cancer.

“The surgery was successful and I feel great, but my doctors are now advising me to do preventive chemotherapy and I’ve decided to do that. And that’s why my doctors are advising me to stay off stage for the rest of the year to fully recover,” Wilson said.

Wilson urged ticket buyers to hold on to their tickets while the band’s management works out details of the band’s “Royal Flush” tour.

Heart – inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2013 – was scheduled to stop in Cleveland on July 30.

“Please know that I fully intend to be back on stage in 2025,” Wilson said.
