On 05/06/2024, at approximately 3:50 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 31300 block of 3rd AVE. Officers observed that the driver’s license was suspended/revoked 3rd degree. Officers issued the driver a citation for Driving While License Revoked 3rd degree.

On 05/06/2024 an officer was dispatched to the 32400 block of Mckay Ln. for a car theft. Upon arrival it was determined to be an attempted car theft. The vehicle’s ignition was broken and approximately $5.00 was stolen from the cup holder in the center console.

On 5/6/24, officers were called to a car crash with unknown injuries at the intersection of SE 292nd ST and 218th AVE SE. Officers arrived on scene, determined that the crash had actually occurred in the 21400 block of SE Covington Sawyer Rd, and offered medical aid to those involved, but it was refused. Officers advised the driver involved that the incident had occurred outside of the City of Black Diamond and advised them to contact KCSO.

On 05/06/2024, officers were dispatched on an administrative call. Enumclaw Police requested that Black Diamond officers confirm an arrest warrant for an individual they had been in contact with. Officers confirmed the arrest warrant for FTA possession of controlled substances. Enumclaw Police arrested the individual and transported him to the Enumclaw Jail.

On 05/06/24, officers were alerted by the FLOCK camera system of a vehicle with a stolen license plate in the 29200 block of 216th Ave SE. Officers conducted an area check, but with negative results.

On 05/07/2024, at approximately 00:39, officers were dispatched to the 30400 block of 3rd AVE to locate a suspicious individual. The reporting party stated that a person was banging on the door to his apartment. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an area check for the individual. Officers were unable to locate the individual

On 05/07/2024, officers responded to a welfare check in the 34200 block of Enumclaw Black Diamond Rd SE. It was reported that a man was lying on the ground on the side of the road. Upon arrival, the man was located and transported to the hospital by Tri-Med.

On 5/7/24, officers were called to the 23300 block SE Dogwood St. regarding an abandoned vehicle. The reporting officer advised that the vehicle had not been moved in approximately one week. Officers arrived on scene and noticed a white 2016 Chrysler that was missing the driver’s side window. Officers checked the vehicle’s VIN and were unable to find a stolen status or any physical evidence that the vehicle had been stolen. Officers placed a 24-hour sticker on the passenger side windshield.

On May 7, 2024, officers observed Mountain View Fire Department vehicles with their blue lights on blocking the road at 24100 Roberts DR. Officers then conducted a traffic stop to assist until the emergency crews could disperse.

On 05/08/2024 at 12:27 a.m., Black Diamond Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 30700 block of 3rd Avenue for traveling faster than the posted speed limit of 35 mph. Upon investigation, officers discovered the license status was suspended. Officers issued a citation for driving while license suspended and a misdemeanor for exceeding the posted speed limit.

On 05/08/24, officers were notified via email to take a report of a vehicle theft in the 32500 block of Mckay Ln. Officers made contact with the reporter who advised that change had been stolen from the interior of the vehicle and that ignition damage had occurred. The reporter advised that he did not wish to assist with law enforcement should the suspect be located and requested that the report be taken for informational purposes only.

On 05/08/2024, officers made contact with an individual who had an arrest warrant issued for him at the Black Diamond Police Station located at 25510 Lawson Street. Officers confirmed the warrant with the Milton Police Department and transported the individual to the SCORE Jail where he was booked.

On 08/05/24 at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a possible shoplifting at Lake Sawyer Grocery. Officers called the reporting party, who was an employee of the store. Officers were advised that a short black male appeared to be putting items in his pocket. The employee contacted him and asked him if he was putting candy in his pocket, to which he denied. The male offender then left the store on a bicycle in an unknown direction. The employee wanted the offender to face trespassing if he was tracked down. Officers were unable to locate the offender.

On 05/08/2024, officers made contact with an individual who had committed a speeding violation that occurred in the 31100 block of 3rd Avenue. Officers determined that the individual had owned the vehicle for over 2 years, but the title had never been transferred. Officers issued the individual citations for the violations.

On 09/05/24, at approximately 9:00 a.m., officers were notified that a citizen wanted to report to the police department that an individual had sent a threatening text message to his minor son. Officers made contact with the reporting individual and were informed that his minor son had been involved in a verbal argument at school which resulted in another juvenile sending him a threatening text message along with a photo of a gun. This case is under investigation.

On 9/5/24, at approximately 10:30 a.m., officers received a call from the Black Diamond Police Administrative Assistant regarding a person wishing to report a suspicious vehicle. Officers made contact with the reporting person who stated that his minor daughter was dropped off of her school bus at her bus stop on the corner of Newcastle DR and Lawson ST sometime between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. A white van was driving slowly behind her and she became frightened and ran home. The driver of the van turned onto an unfamiliar road and no communication occurred between the driver and the juvenile. There was not enough information to identify a possible crime, but the caller wanted to make officers aware of the incident.

On 5/9/24 at 10:15 p.m., Black Diamond Police were called to a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of St. Barbara’s Church, located at 32400 6th Avenue. Upon arrival, officers encountered a sedan and motorcycle, the occupants of which told officers they were looking for the Green River Gorge. Officers informed those involved of the location of the gorge and informed them that the church was closed for the evening. Both those involved and the officer left.

On 05/24/10, at approximately 8:05 a.m., officers received a call from Valley Communication Radio regarding a woman who had overdosed in the 32400 block of 1st AVE. Officers arrived with the Black Diamond Fire Department and found the woman awake and alert. The woman was transported to Auburn General Hospital.

On 05/10/2024, officers attempted to stop a stolen vehicle in the 21600 block of SE 292nd ST. The vehicle fled from officers, who did not pursue it. While searching the area for the vehicle, officers were dispatched to a single vehicle crash and found the stolen vehicle had driven through a back yard and struck a tree. Officers located and arrested one person in connection with the incident, who was released at the scene and the investigation is ongoing.

On 10/5/2024 at approximately 11:27 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 32000 block of Morgan Drive for reports of multiple shots fired in the nearby area. Many nearby residents were out observing the Aurora Borealis, but did not see or hear anything else. No damage or injuries were reported.

On 05/11/2024 at approximately 1:44 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 31000 block of 3rd Ave. for a disturbance. Dispatch advised that a man was on scene attempting to retrieve his property. Upon arrival, no crime was reported by either party. The desired item was retrieved and the man left the location without incident.

On 05/11/2024, an officer conducted a traffic stop in the 23200 block of Roberts Drive. The vehicle continued to the 32400 block of Morgan Drive. The officer found the driver to be under the influence of alcohol, had a suspended license, and had several warrants for his arrest. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Enumclaw Jail for DUI and other offenses.

On 05/11/2024, officers were dispatched to the 32500 block of Stuart Ave SE to investigate undesirable persons. The complainant stated that motorcycles were traveling up and down the dirt trails behind/east of his residence. Upon arrival, the area was checked and the motorcycles could not be located.

On 05/11/2024 at approximately 9:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 32600 block of 3rd Avenue to conduct an area check. The reporting officer stated that he had been involved in a minor accident approximately 30 minutes prior and exchanged information with the other driver. The reporting officer stated that the other driver may have been under the influence of alcohol. Officers checked the area and the registered owner’s residence but were unable to make contact with the driver or his vehicle.

On 05/11/2024, officers were called to a noise disturbance in the 32500 block of 3rd AVE. Officers contacted a person responsible for gathering at the location and informed her of the noise ordinance. She stated she understood and would resolve the issue. Officers cleared the scene.

On 05/11/2024, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 22800 SE Fir ST block to discuss a verbal domestic dispute. Officers arrived on scene and conducted an investigation. Officers determined this was only a verbal incident and no crime was committed. Officers provided resources and advised the parties to disperse for the evening.

On 05/12/2024, at approximately 12:30 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop in the 24400 block of Roberts DR. Officers observed that the driver had a license that was suspended/revoked 3rd degree. Officers issued the driver a ticket for driving without a license 3rd degree.

On 05/12/2024, an officer was stopped in the 25500 block of Lawson Street for a person who had fallen off their bicycle and left personal belongings behind. The officer found the person at another location and determined they were injured. The fire department responded and took the person to the emergency room.
