Keke Jabbar from Huntsville is said to have died at the age of 42

KeKe Jabbar from OWN’s Love & Marriage: Huntsville has reportedly died. She was 42.

Social media personality Marcella Speaks announced Jabbar’s death on Tuesday, July 2, after receiving a statement from Jabbar’s family. Marcella read the family’s statement during a YouTube livestream and shared that Jabbar died “peacefully at home surrounded by love.” The cause of death was not disclosed.

“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Keke. She passed away peacefully at home surrounded by love. She was a mother, a sister and a great friend full of life, love and laughter. She will be greatly missed and we ask for respect and privacy in this moment of grief as we process this great loss. The Jabbar family and the Scott family,” the statement said.

Jabbar’s cousin and reality TV co-star LaTisha Scott posted an Instagram post on Tuesday asking for privacy in light of the news.

“In this moment of grief as we process this great loss, we ask for RESPECT and PRIVACY! This is hard on our family!!!!!” Scott wrote.

Following the news of Jabbar’s death, fans expressed their condolences in the comments section of her final Instagram post, a video from May 26. The clip showed Jabbar announcing her swim wig collection while celebrating Memorial Day weekend with her family by the pool.

“Rest in peace, KeKe 🕊️,” wrote one user.

Another added: “Wow! Horrible and tragic news! She can finally find peace. 🕊️.”

“Wow…😢 RIP, Keke. 💔🥺 You were a real guy, darling. Fly high. 🕊️,” commented another user.

Some social media users also expressed their hope that Jabbar’s wig collection will be available in her memory. “😢🕊️I hope someone makes sure her collection comes out.💜,” one user wrote.

Prior to her Memorial Day Instagram post, Jabbar also shared several photos celebrating her eldest son Amaree’s high school graduation.

She leaves behind her three children, her husband, her parents and cousins.
