More than eight months after Matthew Perry’s death at the age of 54, details about the beloved Friends The actor’s finances have surfaced.

Lisa Ferguson, one of the trustees of Perry’s estate, filed an inventory and appraisal document obtained by PEOPLE on Tuesday, July 2, showing that the actor had $1,596,914.47 in his personal bank account at the time of his death.

Perry, who in Friends, one of the most successful TV shows of all time – likely had many assets that were not part of this filing. Four months ago, PEOPLE confirmed that the actor’s will indicated that the majority of the late actor’s possessions were placed in a trust.

The document, which Perry created in 2009, stated that he wanted to leave his possessions to the “Alvy Singer Living Trust”, which was apparently named after Woody Allen’s character in The Urban NeuroticThe assets of the trust were not disclosed.

His father, John Perry, and mother, Suzanne Morrison, were named as beneficiaries of the trust. His half-sister, Caitlin Morrison, and Rachel Dunn were also listed as beneficiaries.

Perry also specified in his will that his children would have no right to access his estate. (The actor never had children.)

The records also revealed that Perry had personal assets valued at over $1 million at the time of his death, in addition to what his executors, Ferguson and Robin Ruzan, had already contributed to the living trust.

Perry died at his home in Los Angeles on Saturday, October 28, 2023. He was 54. A spokesperson for the Los Angeles Fire Department told PEOPLE that they responded to a 911 call at 4:07 p.m. reporting a “medical emergency.”

The actor’s death was later confirmed to be the acute effects of ketamine in an autopsy report obtained by PEOPLE in December. Drowning, coronary heart disease and the effects of buprenorphine (a drug used to treat opioid addiction) were also cited as contributing factors to his death, which was ruled an accident.

The autopsy revealed that Perry – who was “reportedly clean for 19 months” – received ketamine infusion therapy, with his last treatment occurring just “a week and a half before” his death. However, the medical examiner found that “the ketamine in his body at the time of his death could not have come from this infusion therapy because the half-life of ketamine is 3 to 4 hours or less.”

Since his death, authorities have been investigating where the actor got the powerful drug. His autopsy report found that the amount found in his blood was equivalent to the amount that would be used in a general anesthetic.

A law enforcement source familiar with the investigation told PEOPLE last week that “several people” were expected to face charges in connection with the LAPD, DEA and U.S. Postal Inspector General’s investigation, which the source said was “nearing completion.”

The source said the final decision on whether or not to file charges will be made by the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

After his untimely death, the Matthew Perry Foundation was established with the mission to “carry out Matthew’s ongoing commitment to helping others struggling with the disease of addiction. It will honor his legacy and be guided by his own words and experiences and fueled by his passion to make a difference in as many lives as possible,” the foundation’s website states.
