A 30-year-old inmate was charged with murder in connection with the death of a 57-year-old man at SCI Camp Hill on Tuesday, Pennsylvania State Police announced.

Kevin Beattie, 57, of Philadelphia, was found unconscious in his cell and pronounced dead at 8:16 a.m., according to the Department of Corrections. A state police news release said Beattie’s cellmate at the time of his death was Shaquille T. Gibson, 30, of York, who was charged with murder following an investigation.

Officers found Beattie unconscious in his bunk and attempted to resuscitate him.

An autopsy scheduled for a later date by the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office will determine Beattie’s cause and manner of death, state police said.

State police also determined that Beattie is an alias for Bernard Grover.
