Israeli drone strike kills four people in Nur Shams camp |

Israeli forces killed four Palestinians before midnight on Tuesday when an armed drone fired a missile at the center of the Nur Shams refugee camp east of Tulkarem in the northwestern part of the West Bank.

According to medical sources at the state-run Martyr Thabet Thabet Hospital in Tulkarem, four young Palestinian men were killed by an Israeli drone strike in the center of Nur Shams camp.

The Palestinian Health Ministry confirmed the identity of the young men killed as Yazid Saed Adel Shafi’a22, Nimr Anwar Ahmad Hamarsha25, Mohammad Yasser Raja Shehadeh20 and Mohammad Hassan Ghannam Kanouh22.

According to media sources, a very loud explosion was heard in the center of the camp after a missile was fired from a drone.

National factions in Tulkarem Governorate called a comprehensive strike in all areas of life in the governorate on Wednesday to mourn the loss of the four men killed.

The Times of Israel, in turn, quoted the occupying army as claiming that the four young men were allegedly “to plant an explosive device when they were hit.”

The army added that it “pursued the cell and ambushed it as the agents began to plant a roadside bomb.”

It was also admitted that “The attack site was about 100 meters from where an Israeli soldier was killed by a roadside bomb on Monday morning..”

On Monday, Palestinian resistance fighters fired a crude explosive device at a military vehicle, causing heavy damage. No injuries were initially reported, but the army now admits that a soldier was killed.

An Israeli drone strike killed a Palestinian woman and wounded four others on Monday, while a soldier shot a 15-year-old child in the head with live ammunition at the entrance to the Tulkarem refugee camp.

The murdered woman, Nisreen Khaled Damiri47, was killed by shrapnel from the rocket that hit her in the neck and back, while the child, Mohammad Ali Sarhan15, was executed after a soldier shot him in the head with live ammunition.

Military bulldozers caused severe destruction to vital infrastructure, including the main water pipeline in Nur Shams camp and citizens’ property. They also destroyed several roads in different areas of Tulkarem city.

On Sunday, Israeli forces executed the young man. Saeed Izzat Jaber24, and injured five others, two of them seriously, after an armed Israeli drone fired three missiles at a citizen’s home in Nur Shams camp.

Since the military campaign against Gaza began on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed 560 Palestinian civilians, including 138 children, and injured more than 5,200 others in various regions of the occupied West Bank.

Since the start of the brutal military assault on the devastated Gaza Strip on October 7, 2023, Israeli forces have killed at least 37,925 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and injured at least 87,141. Thousands are still buried under the rubble.
