Unboxing the Southern Super Series Busch Light 100 at Five Flags

While there are several races left in the Southern Super Series, there is just one remaining in the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series. Stephen Nasse finished second or better for the third time in the Blizzard Series, giving him the lead heading into the final event. Nasse has never won the track championship at Five Flags Speedway and will look to do so in September.

– Bubba Pollard earned his 37th ASA Southern Super Series victory Friday night at Five Flags Speedway. For Pollard, it is his 25th win in the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series. Pollard has now tied with Cole Butcher for three wins this season as the season moves into the final few events before the series champion is crowned in Pensacola in September.

– Matt Craig set a fastest time earlier in the evening to earn his second pole award of the 2024 season. Craig now has a seventh fastest qualifier award, putting him second only to Bubba Pollard. Craig is the first driver since Bubba Pollard in 2022 to win multiple pole positions in a season.

– For only the second time in short track racing history, Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse and Casey Roderick all took three podium spots. The trio did it at SpeedFest 2024, with Pollard coming out on top. Given the number of wins these three riders have across the country, it’s surprising that this was only the second time they made the podium.
